I have my early years qualification having worked in nursery settings for 3 years. I joined The Hive as a volunteer in the first week it opened as I wanted to support a family member who had recently come out as transgender. I initially worked in the café before moving into the office and undertaking a project called The Hive Happy Heads where we combined friendship and therapy together. I was asked to take over the Hive in early 2022 and formed Love and Harmony CIC, myself and director Jenna officially took over on April 1st, 2023, and have continued to work hard and support the local LGBTQIA+ community and the wider community. We are delighted to have recruited another 3 directors all with a variety of different skillsets to take The Hive forward. In January 2025 year we gained charitable status as The Hive Kirkcaldy. I am looking forward to continuing this journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
