About us

The Hive was first introduced to Kirkcaldy in September 2022. Love & Harmony Directors, Lindsey Williamson and Jenna Sexton took over in April 2023 and here we are now. The Hive is the first ever dedicated Community Hub for LGBT+ individuals based in Kirkcaldy town centre.

The 10,000sq ft space is the largest of its kind in Scotland and is lead by a team of Volunteers. Our downstairs area is now complete and we are currently renovating our upstairs area which will soon provide an Archive room and the first ever LGBT+ Escape Room.

Here at the Hive we offer; A community-run Cafe, a recording studio, meeting rooms, library, exhibition space and much much more.

We hold a range of activities and events. Our upcoming events are on our facebook page which you can find the link to on the home page. Our support groups are available in our weekly and monthly programme and they are growing week in week out.

The aim of The Hive is that nobody in our community ever feels isolated or alone, we are here to support everyone, including the allies. So come along, enjoy a cuppa, make new friends and lets grow and support our community as a team.
